This is a multi-purpose high-performance grease, based on mineral oil and thickened with lithium-complex soap; it is formulated to provide excellent high temperature lubrication performance. It possesses EP (extreme-pressure) load-carrying properties, and contains additives selected to enhance resistance to oxidation, corrosion and wear.

TCL GREASE is formulated for use in grease-lubricated plain or rolling bearings operating at temperatures from -30 oC to 150 oC (continuous rating). It may also be used for short periods at temperatures of up to 180 oC in bearings designed to operate under such conditions. In such cases, the frequency of relubrication should be increased; operators should contact equipment manufacturers for guidance.
Examples of applications include all types of general industrial machinery, electric motors and machine tools, as well as applications involving higher temperature such as are found in papermaking machinery and oven fans. Other prime areas of application are automotive wheel-bearings, In addition, its good EP characteristics and low slumpability are advantageous in bearings involving both highly loaded applications and vibratory conditions - such as in steel mills, railway axle-boxes and construction equipment.
High Drop Point and excellent stability at high operating temperatures make this a good alternative to clay-thickened high-temperature grease, In comparison with conventional lithium greases, the long service-life potential of TCL GREASE at temperatures over 150oC makes it ideally suited to machines in which poor accessibility makes frequent relubrication difficult, whilst the longer permissible lubrication intervals reduce maintenance costs.
